Raj founded R.S. Jolly Consulting LLC after a successful career as a civil rights advocate. He was one of a handful of young activists who worked to address violence and discrimination against Americans in the post-9/11 environment. Raj laid the groundwork for modernizing dress codes in the U.S. Army, spearheaded a successful campaign to expand federal hate crime data, rewrote equal employment laws in Oregon and California, and designed an advocacy training program to empower grassroots volunteers. He has spoken at dozens of conferences and been quoted and published extensively in media outlets worldwide.
